Galaxy AI uses Google’s Gemini AI model to provide useful features, some on-device and some via the cloud. It includes call Assist, translation features, summarize, photo editing features, slowing down videos with frame interpolation, and more. These phones also have a new orchestral remake of the iconic Over the Horizon ringtone.
Galaxy S24, S24+ and S24 Ultra: Specs
The S24 and S24+ got a major upgrade to the displays, with LTPO technology (1Hz- 120Hz refresh rate), and the S24+ even gets a 1440P display. Depending on your region, they’ll ship with the Exynos 2400 or Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. Only the S24 Ultra gets the 8 Gen 3 in all regions. All phones boot One UI 6.1 (Android 14) out-of-the-box and have Galaxy AI.
The S24 and S24+ have other minute differences, like 45W charging on the Plus and also a 256GB base starting storage. They share the 50MP (main)+12MP (ultrawide)+10MP (3X) triple camera setup.
The S24 Ultra gets the best specs of the lot, with a new anti-reflective display coating. It has a 200MP main sensor and a new 50MP 5X periscope sensor that can take 5X portraits. The phone also has the fan-favourite S Pen. The S24 Ultra drops the curve in favour of a flat display with even bezels.
New wallpapers for the S24 series
The S24 and S24+ have the exact same official wallpapers, but the S24 Ultra has a distinct wallpaper design. There are 8 static wallpapers to choose from.
The S24 and S24+ have four different shades of wallpapers, and there are two versions. One of them is for light mode, and the other is for dark mode. The wallpapers were thoughtfully made to match the colors and the design of these phones well. For the S24, we have Amber Yellow, Cobalt Violet, and Onyx Black as the color options. There are some online-exclusive colors as well. For the S24+, we have Cobalt Violet and Onyx Black.
The wallpapers are not very complex in design. It’s two or three spheres with some pattern or design inside them, with a moody haze. Other designs have circles and some white glitter-style dots inside, sprinkled around.
The S24 Ultra gets a lot more complex design for the wallpaper. We get 8 different wallpapers to choose from. All of them follow a similar design language. They also match the colors of the phone well. The S24 Ultra comes in Titanium Gray, Titanium Violet, Titanium Black, and Titanium Yellow. There are some online exclusives, like Titanium Blue as well.
The wallpaper has a sharper 3D design, and the spheres are replaced with a more geometric 3D figure with an unknown amount of sides. There are light and dark options, and you can think of it as a dreamy prism. There’s some light glitter here too.
