January Security Update Rolling Out For Galaxy S20 Series
Last week we saw Samsung unveiled its latest 2021 flagship series, the Galaxy S21 series. However, this doesn’t mean that Samsung has forgotten its older flagship phones. As today the galaxy S20 series got a new update. The January update for Galaxy S20 Series is now rolling out to the users. The Galaxy S20 series has two different variants one is powered by the Snapdragon 865 while the other one is powered by the Exynos 990. Right now, we have reported that the update is rolling out to the Exynos variant of the series, specifically in India the update is rolling out.
The January update for Galaxy S20 series brings in a few changes along with January 2021, security patch as well. The size of the new update for Galaxy S20 series is around 425 MB. The changelog says there is an improvement on the camera department and the security patch have been updated. The screenshot of the same has been posted below for your reference.
The Galaxy S20 series will also be getting a new update in a while, featuring One UI 3.1. The new One UI 3.1 update will mostly carry the features from Galaxy S21 series. How To Update Your Galaxy S20 to the new version
- Go To Settings
- scroll down to software updates and check for the update
- An update should be there if not, wait for a few days and you should get the update.
- Alternatively, you can install the update using Odin. Click here to know how to flash a firmware on Galaxy S20 using Odin.
